About First Wednesday
Our mission statement:
Proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ so that unbelievers will be converted, believers will be strengthened, and local churches will be increased.
Who we are:
First Wednesday is a nondenominational worship service that meets on the first Wednesday of each month in order to encourage all people to pursue a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ.
First Wednesday was formed in 2009 to provide a place to worship for people of all faiths and denominations under the Biblical authority of the Word of God on the first Wednesday of every month.
Local churches are involved to take in and support new believers and to assist in the outreach to the community.
Guidance to the ministry is provided by Rev. John MacKinnon and the Leadership of Calderwood Baptist Church, East Kilbride, Scotland.
Since 2021, First Wednesday has worked closely with Grace Church Hammersmith. The services are being held at the Irish Cultural Centre, Hammersmith, whose staff and setting provide an excellent environment for First Wednesday in pursuit of our goal of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.
